I hope you are all doing well despite the heat and the power outages. Times like these make me appreciate electricity and those that work so hard to ensure we have everyday conveniences. I also appreciate everything you do to ensure freedom.
I did want to make you aware of a few items. This is a busy time for patriots working together for fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government, and accountability of elected officials.
July 4thTea Party
Date: July 4, 2012
Location: Bridgeport City Park
Time: NOON
The Tea Party for July 4th is still going to happen. Come out and meet Congressman David McKinley and local candidates.
We encourage you to bring nonperishable items for those still without power or have lost food due to power outages.
Harrison County Republican Convention
Date: July 5, 2012
Location: YWCA in Clarksburg, WV (behind the Harrison County Courthouse)
Time: 6:00 pm
This is an opportunity for people in the Tea Party in have an
effect in one of major political parties. At the county convention, delegates to
the state convention will be selected. Those delegates will set the state party
platform and choose the Electoral College for WV.
Obamacare Decision
I know people are upset about the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold Obamacare. Now the Supreme Court has said what we already knew: Obamacare is a TAX. There is another check on an out of control government, WE THE PEOPLE. This November WE can elect a people who want Obamacare repealed! This November WE can elect state officials that will stand up to the overreaching federal government. This November WE will make our voices heard at the ballot box.
