elected officals during this election. We are getting very close to an election
that will have a profound effect on the direction of our country. This could be
the most important election of our lifetime. Responsible choices in the voting
booth are vital to the availability prosperity and liberty for our children and
grandchildren. We have a duty to secure the blessings of liberty for future
generations. Through these years our voices have been heard, and our voices will
be heard in November.
Tea Party Candidates
For two meetings
we discussed the presidential candidates and statewide candidates. The voting
members in attendence at these vetting meetings voted to decide which candidates
best fit thier values. On the statewide candidates, we also took into
consideration whether the candidates signed the Contract with Citizens of West
Virginia pledging to support fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited
government, and accountability of elected officals. More candidates may be added
to the list of Tea Party candidates, if we receive their contracts. As of today,
the candidates the members of the North Central West Virginia Tea Party think
will best represent the Tea Party values of fiscal responsibilty,
constitutionally limited government, and accountability of elected officals, are
as follows:
Mitt Romney-Candidate for President of these United States of America*
John Raese-Candidate for U.S. Senate
Brian Savilla-Candidate for
WV Secertary of State
Allan Loughery-Candidate for W.V. Supreme Court**
Diana Bartley-House of Delegates, District 48
Danny Hamrick-House of Delegates, District 48
Terry Woodside-House of Delegates, District 48
*We did not send the Contract with Citizens of West Virginia to the Presidential
Candidates.
**Because of rules concerning political speech of judicial
candidates, we did not take return of the Contract with Citizens of West
Virginia into account in the W.V. Supreme Court race.
