We are only 10 days away from the most important election in our lifetimes! This
election will likely set the tone for the next 60 years or more in America. Will we fall into socialism and or will we be reborn in liberty? Your vote will decide! There are lots of things to do in the next 10 days and many of them will pop up at the last minute. Please check your e-mail, Facebook, and Twitter frequently and spread the word about upcoming events to anyone who might want to know. I apologize that this e-mail is so long, but there is just so much going on right now. I promise that my e-mails after November 6thwill be shorter!
Tea Party Express is in Buckhannon this Sunday!
The Tea Party Express will be in Buckhannon this Sunday, October 28, 2012 for a rally at the Upshur County courthouse at 2:00 p.m. The physical address is 40 West Main Street, Buckhannon WV 26201. Come out and get energized for the last days of the election!
Congressman McKinley Town Hall this Monday!
This Monday, October 29, 2012 at 6:00 p.m., Congressman McKinley will be holding a town hall style meeting at the Harrison County YWCA, 305 Washington Avenue, Clarksburg (the same place we hold our monthly meetings). He will be taking
questions from the audience and I will be moderating the event. He requested that we set up this event because he wants an opportunity to answer any questions you may have for him, including the tough ones!
Please come out and bring your friends, family and neighbors to meet your
Congressman and ask him questions!
Last Tea Party Phone Banking Night this Tuesday!
The Republican Party has offered the Tea Party the chance to take over their phones for a night this Tuesday, October 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. to help get out the conservative vote. All the rallies and meetings in the world are useless if conservatives don’t come to the polls and get conservative people elected. We have some great conservatives running this year who support our values of constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, and accountability of elected officials.
Phone calls help win elections so please come out and help us push great conservatives to the finish line!
One Man Can
Joseph Spencer came to West Virginia for a few weeks to teach us about his website http://www.onemancan.organd how it can help us turn out the conservative vote in West Virginia. He hopes to eventually go national with the program, but he is testing it out in West Virginia this year because he wants to see John Raese get elected to the Senate.
Please go to the link above and watch the one minute video that explains what the program is. If it sounds interesting, then there are more videos and information on the website to get you started.
The bottom line is that he is encouraging you to go around your own precinct and knock on the doors of Republicans and Independents that live near you and introduce yourself. Then leave them a blank sample ballot on their door a few days later with
a handwritten note to call you if they have any questions. Finally, a couple of days before the election, you leave them one final sample ballot with your choices marked and a note saying this is the way you intend to vote and that you hope they come out to vote on Election Day. Then on Election Day you follow up as best you can with them to try to get them to the polls.
With everything going on, I know it is difficult to find time to do this, but if it brings a few more conservatives out to the polls in every precinct it could be the difference between victory and defeat in a close race.
Early Voting Has Begun!
Don’t wait until Election Day to vote! You can vote early and then help get other conservative people to the polls on Election Day!
Early voting is at your local county courthouse for most counties. It is in Harrison County from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday of next week and from 9 to 5 on Saturdays remaining before the Election at the County Courthouse. Check with your county clerk for times and location of early voting if you live outside of Harrison County. One nice thing about early voting is that all people from the county vote in one place, so you can bring friends, family and neighbors with you, even if they live in a different part of the county.
I was the first voter in Harrison County and it felt good to know that I had done my part for constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibility, and accountability of elected officials. Let’s elect a new president and conservatives all the way up and down the ticket!
Keep making your voice heard! The finish line is almost in sight!
